Hi Blake! Here's a breakdown of "esh lon had?" or "esh lon hay"?
Esh: What? (same as "Shu")
Lon: color
Had: this (masculine)
Hay: this (feminine)
Esh lon had?/Esh lon hay?: What color is this?
And a breakdown of "had lono a7mar" or "hay lonha 7amra":
Had: this (masculine)
Lono: its (masculine) color
A7mar: red (masculine
or
Hay: this (feminine)
Lonha: its (feminine) color
7amra: red (feminine)
